Faith and Service

The NDA Religion Program guides our students to know, proclaim, witness, and share the Catholic faith.
Assisting students to grow in their faith and knowledge, as well as empowering them to live Gospel values, helps them grasp what it means to transform the world. Pope Francis urges us all, Administrators, Faculty, staff, families and children, to "offer an authentic witness to the Gospel in daily life." Jesus' command to "make disciples of all nations" becomes more concrete and real by active participation in the Sacraments and service projects.  We celebrate our faith together as a community with Mass or a prayer service at least monthly.  Highlights include all holy day celebrations, a living rosary, stations of the cross during Lent, and May crowning. We also invite families to celebrate with us with events such as Family Mass and Picnic and Grandparents Day.

School-wide Sacraments

Our religious education includes the celebration of 2 sacraments. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated in grade 2 and the First Holy Communion is celebrated in grade 3.

Service Program

In accordance with our mission, philosophy, and SLEs, we strive to nurture socially responsible citizens persons of moral integrity who make a positive difference in today’s world.

“(A) person is formed for being with and for others, which is realized in love” Educating Together in Catholic Schools

NDAE forms such persons by providing students with many opportunities to serve others. Making sandwiches for a local food pantry, collecting Halloween costumes for a women’s and children’s shelter or donating toiletry items for a homeless shelter, NDAE students and their families serve the local community. Additionally, each class sponsors a service organization. Throughout the year students learn about their class’s organization and raise money for their cause through Buck-a-Stuff donations. In addition to these outreach projects, there is a concerted effort to serve each other on campus, as each student, teacher, administrator, and parent strives to Lift Each Other Up through words and actions, SLE awards, character education, and antibullying campaigns.

At NDAE we love, serve, and grow together as a family.
