Ms. Barba has been an elementary school teacher for 11 years. She graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Spanish and completed her Masters in Education at Loyola Marymount University. She is delighted to be part of Notre Dame’s family. As a teacher, she is committed to academic excellence, while at the same time encouraging and fostering spiritual growth in her students.

The goal of TK–5th Spanish is to instill a love and appreciation of the language, an appreciation for different cultures, and a foundation in the oral and receptive acquisition of the Spanish language. Students will enjoy learning the language through music, games, projects, visual media and interactions with fellow students in the classroom.
