Mr. Park was born and raised in Southern California, attended the University of California, Riverside where he earned his B.A., and went on to continue his education at Loyola Marymount University where he obtained his M.A. in education along with his teaching credentials. Mr. Park went on to teach in South Korea for two years before returning to the states to teach at local Catholic schools. He then took on additional graduate course work at the University of California, Los Angeles in order to keep up-to-date with new pedagogical methods of mathematics teaching. When not at school, Mr. Park enjoys watching and playing sports, seeing local theater plays, and spending time with his friends and family.
In Mr. Park’s middle school Math classes, he aims to foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment that will engage students in meaningful math lessons. He also hopes it will encourage students to be unafraid to make mistakes, reflect, and learn from them. Additionally, students will be tasked in Mr. Park’s class with working directly with their peers on a daily basis in a collaborative manner where clear communication, efficient teamwork, and strong work ethic will be expected. Mr. Park is very excited to be a part of the NDA family and is looking forward to witnessing his students grow throughout the year!
