Mr. Guardado graduated from the California State University of Northridge in 2010 with a Bachelors in art and design. For the last 10 years he has worked for museums and non-profits designing, implementing, and managing educational initiatives. He has specialized in educational content creation and strategic partnerships. For the last five years he worked for the J. Paul Getty Museum specializing in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) programs for youth. When he is not tinkering, or playing video games you can find him in his garden with wife and two children.
Mr. Guardado’s new role as Innovation Director will support 21st century education across both campuses. Over the summer of 2019 he developed and launched NDA’s very own maker space, the Innovation Lab. This creative and hands on space will allow students to implement design thinking in order to find human centered solutions to creative challenges. This project based learning model will allow students to build skills necessary to succeed in the careers of tomorrow.
