Ms. Tran grew up in San Diego where she attended University of California San Diego and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development with an emphasis on biology and education. She later continued her education in Chicago at DePaul University’s College of Education. Ms. Tran received a Master of Education in Elementary Education with an Illinois Professional Educator License (K-9) and endorsements in Physical Science and General Science. For the past eight years, Ms. Tran has served preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students all throughout San Diego, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Tran loves to practice hand-lettering, watercolor painting, cooking, hiking, backpacking, badminton, painting with Bob Ross, and exploring new places to eat. She is excited for her second year at Notre Dame Academy and to be a part of the Knights family!
This year in second grade, Ms. Tran is excited to share her love of exploring and learning with her students. She is very passionate about STEM and bringing classroom learning to life. She also believes that every student comes into the classroom with valuable banks of knowledge created from their individual life experiences. As a classroom community, students will flourish as they contribute their unique perspectives, collaborate, and learn from each other. Hands-on experiences in the classroom will also drive student engagement and critical thinking as they continue to develop their learning styles.
