Summer Studio at NDA
Design • Build • Think • Create
This summer, NDA invites students to explore, create, and innovate through our brand-new Summer Studio — a hands-on learning experience led by NDA’s nationally recognized innovation educators: Dr. Navarro, Mr. Rayfield, Mr. Verdugo, and Mr. G.

Rising 1st-2nd Grade

A playful introduction to creativity, engineering, and problem-solving through tinkering and hands-on discovery. Participants will produce projects and artifacts that demonstrate their learning process and outcomes.
Rising 3rd–5th Grade

A deeper dive into design thinking and engineering practices. Students will build, test, and refine original prototypes and projects using a blend of traditional tools and current technologies, including 3D printing and coding software.
Rising 6th-8th Grade

Computer Science, AI, & Gamified Programming
An advanced introduction to computer science and coding taught by NDA’s AP Computer Science teacher. Students will learn programming concepts including artificial intelligence, logic, and problem-solving using platforms such as Minecraft Education Edition to design, code, and test interactive digital worlds.
