Welcome from Ms. Ashley Hobbs, Principal
Knights of ancient lore valued honor and virtue and went on quests seeking adventure and treasure. Today, our NDA Knights are not so different. We, too are on a quest to discover our gifts and change the world. NDA Knights are kind and compassionate. NDA Knights model the Habits of Mind and demonstrate a love of learning. NDA Knights are critical thinkers and problem solvers. NDA Knights are athletes who value good sportsmanship, hard work, and teamwork. NDA Knights are lifelong learners, effective communicators, academically prepared individuals, and morally responsible citizens who are leaders in our school and community.
We learn that our gifts are given to us by the Holy Spirit and that each of us has been created special and unique in the eyes of God. As we discover our own gifts, we also value the diverse gifts of others in our community. NDA Knights understand that by working together, collaborating, and supporting one another we can achieve more than we ever could alone.
By discovering our gifts and sharing them with others, we truly are changing the world and making it a better place. It is my privilege to lead you on your quest; I cannot wait to see where our adventure takes us!
Welcome from Ms. Liliam Paetzold,Head of School/President
I’m both humbled and grateful to be the first NDA alumna tapped to lead Notre Dame Academy Schools of Los Angeles as president. Notre Dame Academy has been a second home and an important part of my family history since the 1960s. In fact, my youngest niece graduated from the high school's Class of 2021. She is the last in a long line of proud Knights and Regals. The spirit of NDA lives in our hearts, and we carry the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame in the friendships we made and the lessons we learned.
Central to that charism is the Sisters’ emphasis on the human dignity of each person as the image of God. That principle continues to inform our community as we value every student and prepare him or her to explore uncharted territory so as to write the maps of tomorrow. With this in mind, our dedicated and mission-oriented team of teachers, administrators, and staff recognizes that our methods must continually, intentionally evolve.
What remains unchanged is our focus on the development of the whole person – spiritual and social, academic, athletic, and artistic. Caring relationships with teachers and mentors create a nurturing environment for students to grow in faith, ability, and confidence. We are honored to partner with you to foster and fuel that transformation.
