Welcome from Ms. Lilliam Paetzold,
President
I’m both humbled and grateful to be the first NDA alumna tapped to lead Notre Dame Academy Schools of Los Angeles as president. Notre Dame Academy has been a second home and an important part of my family history since the 1960s. In fact, my youngest niece graduated from the high school's Class of 2021. She is the last in a long line of proud Knights and Regals. The spirit of NDA lives in our hearts, and we carry the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame in the friendships we made and the lessons we learned.
Central to that charism is the Sisters’ emphasis on the human dignity of each person as the image of God. That principle continues to inform our community as we value every student and prepare him or her to explore uncharted territory so as to write the maps of tomorrow. With this in mind, our dedicated and mission-oriented team of teachers, administrators, and staff recognizes that our methods must continually, intentionally evolve.
What remains unchanged is our focus on the development of the whole person – spiritual and social, academic, athletic, and artistic. Caring relationships with teachers and mentors create a nurturing environment for students to grow in faith, ability, and confidence. We are honored to partner with you to foster and fuel that transformation.

Welcome from Ms. Bri Berlin,
Principal
Welcome to Notre Dame Academy Elementary School!
As a life-long Catholic school student and a proud alumna of Notre Dame Academy High School, I am deeply honored to continue the rich legacy of the Sisters of Notre Dame as the principal of Notre Dame Academy Elementary School. Our school community is rooted in the values of faith, knowledge, and service, and it is a privilege to lead a school where these principles are not just taught but lived out every day.
When I reflect on my journey, I recognize that my TK-8th grade years were pivotal in shaping who I am today. It was during those formative years that I encountered teachers who inspired me, challenged me, and nurtured my growth. The stable and supportive environment of my Catholic education provided a strong foundation, enabling me to navigate the complexities of life with confidence and faith. Without this foundation, I do not believe I would be the woman I am today, nor do I think I would have served the NDA community for 15 years.
One of the unique blessings of Catholic education is the opportunity to witness and foster long-term growth in our students. At Notre Dame Academy Elementary, we have the privilege of partnering with parents to support their child's development from the early days of TK through the milestones of 8th grade. This continuity allows us to build deep, meaningful relationships with our students and their families, guiding them through the academic, social, and spiritual growth that defines these critical years.
In our school, the sense of community is unmistakable. Our youngest students look up to our middle schoolers, learning from their example and gaining inspiration from their accomplishments. Conversely, our older students have the opportunity to refine their leadership skills in a safe and nurturing environment, preparing them to be compassionate, confident leaders in their next educational journey and beyond.
Notre Dame Academy Elementary School is more than just a place of learning; it is a home where every child is known, loved, and challenged to reach their full potential. I invite you to explore our website and learn more about what makes our school a special place. Whether you are a prospective family or a long-standing member of our community, I look forward to partnering with you in the mission of educating hearts and minds.
Warm regards,
Ms. Bri Berlin
